As i said before i ordered and received a twin bed. I was approved for credit and was happy to make monthly payments. WHEN I TYPED MAKE A PAYMENT, instead of saying recurring payments it said i had to make one full payment. I didn't want that because I'm on Social Security-making $20 a month payments would be easy but not one full payment. Because of their error i would have to pay late fees. Not fair for a Fingerhut error. Customer Service isn't much help and a waste of time. I have written them so many times. WHAT MAKES IT SO DIFFICULT IS THAT I HAVE A VOICE CONDITION SO CANNOT CALL AND HAVE TO DEPEND ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. i would like Fingerhut to admit their error and not make me responsible for it.

Hate this company ,it's collection agency and transunion, and experian credit reporting agency and anything that can be id with Fingerhut . My credit score had been 650 in which I could live wth being an old retired female on social security and a small pension. However it appears my credit score has taken a nose-dive to 596 in a Fingerhut scam. Yes Fingerhut sold disputed charges to a their collection agency for penny on a dollar. Then collection agency attached more charges moreover after numerous harassing calls and letters. I had explained to the collection people there's no garnishment on seniors entitlements. Continuing I had filed a complaint with the state attorney general office (no case) . I am now twice in collection on this disputed debt and other creditors are lowering my credit worthiness. In addition I was turned down for an apartment and to add injury to insult a bill I don't owe is also affecting my credit I now must pay this bill again for it is in the credit system of no chance in *** in receiving equality. I won't go into details but I have no choice but to pay. The paper trail starts with Fingerhut screwing a loyal customer for many years with their insurance protection plan.

I tried to order a pair of shoes. Their ordering site said my card was declined. I called the customer service department and they tried my card again. They charged my card four times totaling 138 dollars. They refuse to reissue my money. I have to wait 6 weeks for a dispute with my debit card company to get my money back. I am filing fraud and theft charges on them at the attorney generals office in Minnesota..

This is a crooked, dishonest company. They change your balance if you don't pay careful attention. They send broken products. Their products are thrift store quality at best.

When paying the full balance off, It ended up a dollar short of the credit limit. Called and they corrected it immediately.

That's scary.

Watch your balance, they will try to cheat you. Statement came in mail 9 days after billing due date, but I already paid acct earlier in the month

Bought a 5 qt kitchenaid stand mixer mid Oct '15 as a Christmas present (2 months away). Recipient wanted a different color but was in process of moving. Product returned after 90 day policy (120 days approx). Never taken out if box! Wanted an exchange only! Fingerhut returned and said NO, past 90 days. I've spent ALOT of money at Fingerhut, paid on or before due date.could have exchanged in interest of customer service!

This is actually my very first time writing a bad review for any business ever! I usually understand when something is my fault and let it go if I get upset with a business. Well, this company's customer service line is unbelievable. My boyfriend decided to make a payment early to get it out of the way even though I was set up for automatic payments. He made a payment, then 2 days later on the scheduled date they charged me again. I called them and asked if they could please reverse the charge as I already paid this month. They declined. (Which is fine, I could live with that) The customer service lady said "we can't since it's not fingerhuts fault you made an extra payment." I can't believe she said that!! I work for a call center myself and you are never suppose to say something like that. Anyway, I hung up the phone and checked my bank account. ANOTHER payment was charged to my account & overdrew my bank account. At this point I was very mad. I called them back and told them that I was charged 3 times in one week for one product. No apology was given. She kept placing me on hold. She finally told me that my two charges will be refunded through check. I thanked her and didn't catch quite what she said about a check. She was very hard to understand. I asked "so it's coming in the form of a check not directly back to my account?" She was hesitant and put me on hold, came back and said I would get a check in 15 business days.. Weird because I need to have the charges reversed for my overdraft fee to lift. I call back in hopes to get someone who I can understand better. I seriously called around 7 different times trying to get information. When I called back I got a barely English speaking man. I said "I was just on the phone with someone and she told me that my last two charges would be refunded, so I would just like to verify that. He placed me on hold then came back on asking how he could help me today, so I explained again. After being put on hold countless times (he even forgot to press the hold button and started singing!!!) he comes back on and says "I can't find this out until 24 hours from now." At this point I'm furious. I hung up with him and called back multiple times. I finally gave in and tried to talk with someone who sounded just like him. I explained that all I'm trying to do is verify my two refunds and that they will be revered to my bank account. He said "yes you will be refunded 135.00" I said " no, I'm supposed to be only refunded 48.00 for the two payments, I'm not returning the whole product!" He put me on hold countless times.. So many that it was absolutely ridiculous!!! He finally gets on saying that he will refund me for the last two charges.. Which the other lady said she was already going to do!!! I said "ok thanks, but the previous women said she was going to as well. " I was just trying to get some clarity!!! I asked "will it be in the form of a check or in my bank account?" He said "bank account. Call your bank and have them reverse charges" I called my bank and they said the charges weren't reversed so I called fingerhut back and requested a supervisor. The lady said there is a meeting now and the supervisor will call me back in an hour. I gave her my number & still never received a call and it's the next day. I hate this company!!!!!!!!!!

Misrepresentations regarding 'credit booster'

They tout the fact that you can 'rebuild your credit' but what they don't tell you is if you miss a payment, your 'minimum due' is doubled, and if you don't make that payment it triples, they write it off, close the account and then send it to India for collections. Not only do the 'collection staff' not understand English, they can't even provide any responses. I reported this company to the Better Business Bureau and in the mail I got a list of what I ordered. I paid my account on time, lost my job and had trouble getting current -- but the way they have their system set up, your 'minimum payment' is practically the entire amount of the debt --

This "wonderful company" stole my TV and said they "never received it"

I returned a flat screen TV right before Christmas because I felt overextended financially. Shipped it with the return shipping label very carefully at the USPS by my boyfriend who used to work in S&H for 7 years.

When I noticed they never credited my account for it I practically had a stroke! I did everything I could to help them and they assured me they would investigate it but by the time those words were spoken I was receiving calls from their private debt collections company. That day.

Now their threatening my credit. Merry f'n Christmas!
