Illegal fraudulent charging

For nostalgia reasons I used Fingerhut 3 years ago for my granddaughters Christmas. $1000.
In gifts. I'm still paying and thought surely I'm close to being done. Nope. They say I still owe $1500.
I went to my finance advisor to figure out why.
They've illegally been charging me for safeline plus an insurance policy I never agreed to. Now talking to attorneys.

I'm locked out of my Fingerhut account and unable to make a payment. I've called multiple times, but each call states there are technical difficulties and then disconnects.
With Fingerhut announcing it is closing, this is extremely concerning. Customers should not be prevented from paying their bills due to system failures.
I am making a good-faith effort to pay and cannot access my account or reach customer service. Please advise how payments are supposed to be made under these conditions and confirm that accounts will not be negatively impacted.

We are in the same boat. I have a balance of $24 and have called 80 times.
Account is locked and my password has been the same for years. What they're doing is preventing people getting into their account so they charge late fees and we are all SOL. Late fees are $41 a pop. The rmail just bounces back.
This is ridiculous. Good luck!
Document your phone calls. I am going to try and send a payment certified and see if it comes back to me.

Trying to get a hold of customer service

- - App login is locked, blocking payment and charging extra for late payments.
Been trying to reach them for over a week just keep getting that all agents are assisting other callers right now its been a half hour and still no one has answered how am I supposed to pay without customer number because you decided to change your app and it won't let me in so now I have e been locked I shouldn't have to waste so much of my time because you think locking people out of your app so you can charge me extra for not paying on time

You can get your customer ID, but the systems are locked for everyone. A customer rep will tell you the balance and you can pay it off that way. I wish you the best!
